Star Island Resort may just be Kissimmee, Florida's best kept secret. The resort is situated beside a private lake on a beautiful piece of land that is kept up to preserve the natural Florida charm. After turning off of touristy Highway 192 to Avenue of the Stars, you're immersed in the vegetation and resort landscape.
The hotel stands out from the rest because in comparison to a compact room with little living space, you get to spend time in your spacious suite with a full kitchen, balcony and access to the many amenities all within walking distance. They boast a full-service Celebrity spa, driving range, putting green, game room, fitness center, 9-hole mini golf course, water sports, tennis, pools, and multiple bars for your entertainment.
Who is this hotel best for? Not only were there lots of options to keep kids entertained, but there were also relaxing areas for adults, paved ramps that are perfect for older family, and a fun environment for teens and young adults to stay the night. I would also recommend this hotel to anyone traveling far to get to Disney. Though Disney owns some stunning hotels (Four Seasons being my favorite), Star Island's full kitchens and roomy suites will help you save a pretty penny on your trip to Central Florida.
