Make Your Own Almond Milk

Homemade almond milk is so much better than store-bought milk. Here's why... The basics of almond milk are raw almonds and water. That's all it takes. The ratio of water to almonds makes a huge difference, though. Some companies (I'd even argue MOST companies) that make almond milk use lots of water in comparison to almonds. This makes the milk stretch to fill lots of bottles AKA making them more $$$, but the milk itself loses the creaminess.

When you make your milk at home you have control of exactly what goes into the milk. You can use the my water to almond ratios for creamy almond milk and you can even use less water to make delicious coffee creamers. I don't make my own almond milk every week. I use the store-bought stuff too, but this is so much better! As I've made almond more and more, I've started to get creative.

My favorite milk of all time growing up was chocolate milk. WHOLE MILK with chocolate. Mmm.. I've made my own creamy almond milk version. I know people love strawberry milk also. This one and the blueberry are great for making oatmeal or smoothies. I particularly love my turmeric almond milk heated up to sip on at night. It's the perfect anti-inflammatory drink! Let me know which ones you try and which you love best!
